NA COUNCILMAN TO MEET WITH US ATTORNEY'S OFFICE ON ENCAP REPORT!

NORTH ARLINGTON - According to NBC news, a member of the North Arlington Borough Council will be meeting with the office of the US Attorney on Friday to discuss the Inspector General's report highly critical of the botched EnCap redevelopment project that calls for thousands of units of housing in the South Bergen communities of Rutherford, North Arlington and Lyndhurst.

NBC News, which led with a story on the IG's report today quoted unknown sources that in fact, a member of the governing body was making a trip to Newark to meet with an undisclosed staff member of the US Attorney.

"Two years ago Mayor Pete Massa and Councilman Steve Tanelli called upon the US Attorney to review this development debacle. Now we have a comprehensive state issued document that gives a full narrative as to what really occurred. The time has come for someone to now decide if in fact any laws have been violated by EnCap and the enablers of this disastrous proposal," said one local insider.
